Brian F. Lane, MD, attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, and received his medical degree in 1988. Furthermore, he conducted his general surgery residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C (1988 – 1996). In addition, he completed his fellowship training in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation Medical Center in Cleveland, OH (2004 – 2005). Dr. Lane received board certification in general surgery from the American Board of Surgery. Moreover, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, which he acquired in 1980. Prior to his current endeavors, he served as the Director of Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery, and as the Associate Director of the Digestive Health Center at the Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University.
